    Job Description

    As the Board and Executive Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting Fortune Brands' Board of Directors and senior executive leadership by managing high-touch logistics, complex travel, and seamless coordination of meetings and events. This highly visible role requires exceptional organizational acumen, unwavering discretion, and the ability to execute flawlessly in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

    You will directly lead the planning and execution of all Board meetings—both on and offsite—while also supporting broader corporate engagement through event planning and onsite meeting coordination. Acting as a key liaison between the Board, executive leadership, and cross-functional teams, this role builds trust through professionalism, adaptability, and service excellence.

    Position Location :This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule based out of Deerfield, IL. Effective mid-2025, Fortune Brands will transition to a new world-class campus in Deerfield, bringing together associates from across our U.S. offices, brands, and functions. The campus will offer vibrant workspaces for collaboration, along with amenities for dining, onsite daycare, fitness and recreation.

    What you will be doing:

    Board Meeting Planning & Execution

    • Lead end-to-end planning and logistics for five annual Board meetings, including three hosted at company headquarters and two offsite.
    • Coordinate all aspects of event execution: venue selection, catering, A/V and IT setup, secure materials, transportation, and scheduling.
    • Ensure a seamless, professional experience with no downtime or disruption, maintaining a continuous state of preparedness.

    Executive Support

    • Serve as Executive Assistant to the Board, managing complex travel logistics including private aviation, accommodations, and dining.
    • Anticipate Board member preferences and needs to deliver a high-standard, personalized experience.
    • Build close working relationships with the Chief Human Resources Officer, Chief Legal Officer, and Chief of Staff to align on board-related engagements and events.

    Stakeholder Engagement

    • Establish strong and trusted relationships with Board members and senior leaders through discretion, professionalism, and responsiveness.
    • Serve as a resource to internal teams seeking to host meetings at headquarters—providing planning guidance and facilitating key vendor introductions.
    • Represent the company’s values in every interaction, managing high expectations with grace and reliability.

    Administrative Excellence

    • Maintain detailed calendars, itineraries, and documentation for all Board-related activities and meetings.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure organizational readiness and coordination across departments.
    • Lead the planning of larger corporate meetings and events that elevate internal engagement and foster executive alignment.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Previous experience supporting senior executives and/or Board of Directors, with strong exposure to event and meeting planning.
    • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills; thrives in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
    • Demonstrated interpersonal and written communication skills; able to build rapport with senior-level stakeholders.
    • Discreet, poised, and detail-oriented with a high degree of professionalism.
    • Experience managing travel logistics, including private air travel, is strongly preferred.

    Additional Information

    Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $80,000 USD - $126,500 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
