    Employee Central Associate Description: The incumbent will be a member of the Employee Central team (Tier 2). Employee Central is responsible for advising, counseling, coaching, training, overseeing, maintaining and managing the entire HR data administration process. Partner with HRBP US OPU client groups to administer transactions to reflect the local and global organizational strategic needs for business clients. Liaise between local and global human resource colleagues, HRIS and corporate COEs to ensure data accurately supports strategic business initiatives such as reorganizations, reductions in force, acquisitions, and site closures. In close collaboration with HRBP, Manager, Payroll and Legal. Employee Central will serve about 9,000 employees in several times zones, within multiple company sites, for 4 legal entities. Our competitive compensation and benefit programs reflect Boehringer Ingelheim's high regard for our employees Duties & Responsibilities: * Providing support to all countries in scope in the respective language (country and language scope increasing with the implementation of the HR@GBS roadmap). * Accountable for delivering operational excellence within Employee Central and the area of expertise for the execution of all related end to end processes, continuously striving for improvements. Including but not limited to: * Responsible for being subject matter expert and understanding and interpreting data relationships between local and global SAP, interfaces and timing between HR systems and other internal BI systems, external vendors, etc. to troubleshoot and/or resolve organizational and employee data issues. * Responsible for supporting assigned client group and for processing transactions for all US operating units in local and global systems, ensuring data integrity so that all internal systems and external outbound interface data is harmonized. Required to understand differences in employee type (union, non-union, etc.) benefits programs, policies and organizational structure. Liaise with local human resource colleagues to advise and counsel on timing and requirements for strategic business initiatives such as reorganizations, reductions in force, acquisitions, and site closures. * Responsible for understanding the effect of data transactions relative to payroll cycle, tax components such as tax withholding, W2, status changes due to life events, disability pay, VPR and IC payments. Responsible for auditing and processing payroll simulations for pay-impacted transactions to ensure accurate payroll processing. * Responsible for completing tuition reimbursements, benefit change forms, personal, administrative and military leave transactions for assigned client group, and ensuring accurate processing through payroll simulation and in accordance with payroll calendar and company policy. * Responsible for ensuring timely communication of benefits termination letter in accordance with legal requirements. * Orchestration of all relevant HR-specific Onboarding activities * Consultation and realization of reorganization including but not limited to teams, business units and legal entity/corporation. * Interfacing with IT customizing and programming. * Liaise with the respective HR BPs/COEs where necessary to ensure operational process excellence adapted to the needs of the region/country in alignment with Regional Service Center Strategy. Provide reliable reports and data to HR BPs and CoEs when required. * Responsible for complaint processing and escalation where necessary * Demonstrate an applied understanding of all HR systems and associated processes and policies to accurately advise employees. Ensure guidance is compliant with organizational guidelines and directives. * Knowledge of and adherence to each US OPUs policies, procedures, programs and initiatives. Ability to accurately articulate, advise employees and document in case management tool. Ensure confidential data is secured according to Data Protection, HR Compliance and Legal requirements. Requirements: * High School diploma/certificate from business school required; Bachelors degree from an accredited institution preferred. * Business Process Excellence, strong Process and systemic thinking and high customer orientation. * Minimum three (3) years of HR relevant experience * Strong interpersonal communication as well as professionally articulate written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational, prioritization and time management skills to meet deadlines * Ability to maintain confidentiality * Extensive customer orientation * Cultural sensitivity * Attention to detail, problem solving and analytical capability * Experience with HRIS systems; SuccessFactors experience a plus * High level of technical aptitude in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint * Expert knowledge in the field of Employee Administration; ideally work experience in different HR roles and across business units/geographies * Business Process Excellence, strong process and systemic thinking skills _Eligibility Requirements: _ * Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction**** * Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required) * Must be 18 years of age or older Our Culture: Boehringer Ingelheim is one of the worlds top 20 pharmaceutical companies and operates globally with approximately 50,000 employees.
