ResponsibilitiesTeam Leader, Training Vet Tech Solutions Description: Manage the training program for the Senior Veterinary Technicians and assist with the training program for VTS Veterinarians. Ensure each technician has the skills and technical knowledge necessary to meet needs of customer and BI. Develop and maintain procedures and business rules, new hire training, and continuing education. Liaise with the Product Managers and Customer Care Sales and Marketing Specialists to ensure VTS is kept up to date on the latest promotions and products. Create tools to improve the accuracy and efficiency at which VTS processes calls. Maintain VTS e-room. Conduct training for all new technician hires as well as refresher training for current employees. * Work with the Associate Director to develop and update training programs for the VTS Veterinary Staff. Utilize live coaching and monitoring as necessary for effective training. Through training process, facilitate adherence to all departmental SOPs and business rules. * Create and maintain existing training presentations and training materials to include the following subject areas: VTS policies and procedures, product guarantee implementation, phone skills, use of PVWorks, Microsoft Outlook, adverse event reporting, PQC reporting, product knowledge, etc. * Coordinate cross training activities with other BI departments including Inside and Outside sales, Customer Care and Marketing. * Be familiar with all Federal laws (21 CFR-FDA, 9CFR-USDA, and 40 CFR-EPA) related to the reporting of Adverse Events, Off-Label inquires and Product Quality Complaints (PQC) and create training programs and tools to be used by VTS to ensure compliance. * Create and maintain Q&A documents for all products, including new products. * Utilize VERINT voice recording software and live monitoring techniques for new hires to ensure all customer calls are handled in a superior manner consistent with a BI Remarkable Experience. Provide on the spot corrections and call assistance when warranted. Keep the Manager informed of all personnel issues. * Review all AE cases for new hires for at least the first three months to check for accuracy and adherence to policy. * Create tools to improve the accuracy and efficiency at which VTS processes calls. Such tools may include a knowledge library for PVWorks, quick reference guides, improved software programs, etc. * Successfully complete any additional responsibilities or projects assigned by the Director or Associate Director in a timely manner. Communicate effectively with the Veterinary Technical Solutions Leadership Team to facilitate overall functioning and performance of the department. Requirements: * Bachelor Degree in Animal Science or Biological Sciences * Formal presentation skills, good verbal communication, and a friendly demeanor. * Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word and PowerPoint * Ability to work and perform at a very high level in a team based environment.
