BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for dynamic, results driven individual to join as a Test & Validation Intern at our Noblesville Technical Center (NTC) in Noblesville, Indiana. The Test & Validation Intern Starters/Alternators will be focused on day-to-day support and assisting engineers in related problem resolution designing, characterizing, and testing various aspects of automotive power generation products for conventional vehicles as well as the exciting and growing field of power electronics for hybrid and electric cars. Key Accountabilities: * Assists in development test plans to validate new products/ existing product design changes * Assists validation engineers in managing test plans, setting up durability tests and writing reports * Work with product development team to support programs with documentation and post-test data processing * Coordinate/ Work with test execution team to schedule and complete validation testing as needed Education & Experience: * Engineering Collegiate Student required, majoring in Mechanical or Electrical engineering preferred * Minimum GPA of 3.0 * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Computer skills in Microsoft Office products (MS Word, MS Excel etc) * Familiarity with Minitab or other data analysis software preferred * Familiarity with CAD/CAE tools preferred * Ability to solve problems efficiently and effectively * Analytical, technical, and statistical coursework preferred BorgWarner Competencies: * Action Oriented * Dealing with Ambiguity * Customer Focus * Functional/Technical Skills * Learning on the Fly * Listening * Perspective * Problem Solving * Drive for Results Safety This position will adhere to Global Star Safety Program, including safety rules, practices and training as outlined in the BorgWarner NTC/HQ Safety Policy Manual, which includes the use of equipment, protective devices, or clothing that the employer requires.
