    Intern, Revenue Recognition Analyst POSITION SUMMARY We are currently seeking a student interested in an Internship opportunity located at our World Headquarters in Auburn Hills, MI. This position will assist with the execution of business processes to maintain ASC 606, which relates to Revenue Recognition in addition to supporting the adoption of ASC842 Lease Accounting. KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Support the implementation via training the BorgWarner global organization - Lead analysis related to the Revenue Recognition program including: * Support the evaluation/reporting unit assessment of contracts to ensure consistency with established guidelines * Generate analyses related to the impact of the revenue recognition standard * Assist in maintaining the control environment, plus support auditor requests * Provide guidance to the reporting units in the absence of the Director of Revenue Recognition - Support the interpretation, business process and system to introduce the new lease accounting standards implementation across BorgWarner. This includes development and deployment of training materials. Safety and Health Responsible for completing required safety training, reporting and correcting any unsafe practices as appropriate, completing work activities in a safe manner, and complying with safety and health requirements for respective position. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (Minimum Qualifications) * Must be a student enrolled in academic program during duration of Internship * Progress towards an Accounting degree * Accounting background * Strong analytical skills * Proficient with spreadsheet analysis * Ability to acclimate quickly to new systems/processes * Excellent organizational and communications skills * Process oriented CORE COMPETENCIES * Priority Setting * Action Oriented * Dealing with Ambiguity * Creativity * Informing * Conflict Management SAFETY: This position will adhere to the Global Star Safety Framework as well as safety rules, use of equipment, protective devices, safety practices, and training which are outlined in the BorgWarner PTC Safety Policy Manual.
