Location BAH Bronson At Home Title Driver - PRN Delivery, pick up and service of home medical equipment. Requires the willingness to work any assigned eight-hour schedule, overtime, and rotating on-call duty as scheduled. Requires the ability to perform a variety of duties characterized by frequent change. Example: patient education and preventative maintenance program. Employees providing direct patient care must demonstrate competencies specific to the population served. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 1-2 years current general work experience required Previous home care and/or delivery experience preferred Current driver's license in the state of Michigan with a good driving record and proof of insurance required This position will require successfully pass of MVR check after an offer of employment has been made but prior to the employees start date. Chauffeurs license is required prior to starting in this position. Treats patients with respect on the phone or face to face Treats co-workers with respect on the phone or face to face Treats other customers, community members and other providers with respect on the phone or face to face Work which produces levels of mental/visual fatigue which are typical of jobs that perform a wide variety of duties with frequent and significant uncontrollable deadlines. Work may include the operation of and full attention to a personal computer or CRT up to 40 percent of the time. Involves regularly lifting of bulky or moderately heavy weights (i.e., up to 50 pounds), and occasionally assisting with heavier tasks or expending the equivalent effort in pushing, pulling, or otherwise handling material, equipment, and other objects. Quality Documents client/familys instruction in proper use of equipment. Provides services in accordance with the established plan of care and in compliance with TCJ and third party regulations. Instructs clients in basic and safe equipment operating procedures. Completes all documentation according to company policy. Prepares and delivers equipment and supplies for delivery to client by making sure it is complete and safe and in proper working order. Sets up and pick-up of equipment to same standards. Within the framework of this job description exhibits understanding of, and compliance with, Conditions of Participation, HIPAA, TJC standards, intermediary regulations, and other appropriate legal and regulatory codes. Productivity Schedules, delivery and pick-up in a cost effective and efficient manner recognizing the need to provide timely service to all clients. Submits accurate and complete documentation according to company policy within 24 hours. Utilizes time in constructive manner with minimal direction. Communication Communicates to client pertinent company services and billing information. Follow through with resolution of client problems as appropriate. Shares information with co-workers about communities in which they work, such as resources available to the client, significant others, and special interest groups that may contribute to implementing their plan of care.
