JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Business Analyst Intern will learn GAF’s business, participate in the analysis and documentation of requirements/user stories, and collaborate with the project team during the delivery and support of various GAF IT applications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• 60%- Learn and apply the fundamentals of Business Analysis, such as: elicitation (interviews, workshops, surveys), and documentation (user stories, business/functional requirements, use cases, workflow/swim lane diagrams, interface designs)

  • Gain an understanding of GAF’s applications and roof manufacturing. Gain knowledge of business processes and participate in an IT project.

  • Understand the business needs and requests of the project stakeholders, and collaborate with other Business Analysts, during the creation of requirements/user stories that are understandable by the business representatives and IT staff.

  • Attain knowledge of the area assigned, participate in meetings, and provide updates to the manager.

• 20% - Collaborate with Business Analyst colleagues, IT Development and QA teams

  • Learn about the UAT process, and interact with the business team during system testing

• 20% - Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Student in a Bachelor’s Degree program in: Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

• 0-2 years of IT and business/industry work experience
