    ABOUT THE ROLE
    The successful candidate is expected to manage the financial reporting process of our construction practice. The reporting structure will be to the Corporate Assistant Controller and Controller as well as the collaboration with the firm's COO. Partnering with our Project Managers and Client Leaders of our CannonDesign Builders group is a primary function with the outcome being to ensure financial performance on construction projects, analyzing project profitability, prime and subcontract contract maintenance, monitoring project budgets and closeouts.

    WHAT YOU WILL DO

    • Initiate and assist in the development of our construction financial management system, including setting up construction projects, maintain project budgets, job costs and cost codes, contracts, change orders, purchase orders, and various construction progress reports.
    • Financial Statement preparation for the construction entity.
    • Reconciliation of construction value, including change orders, purchase orders .
    • Progress invoice assistance and review
    • Maintain and Manage accounts receivable collection activities.
    • Maintain WIP schedule and forecast
    • Review and process subcontractor payment applications in accordance with subcontractor agreements.
    • Ensure compliance with contract requirements.
    • Audit/reconcile job cost detail and update project budgets in a timely manner.
    • Work with project managers to development and input new work plans.

    • Prepare and analyze forecast to include review of project staffing and schedules, report revenue and review variances monthly.

    • Occasional travel - site visits are to include a review of project performance, work plans, staffing and status of collections with Project Managers and Operations Leader.
    ABOUT YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

    • Must have a Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance with 6 years' related experience, preferably in the in A/E/C industry.
    • Experience in a Construction or Design-build firm preferred.
    • Must be detail oriented, an analytical thinker, and possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Proficiency with MS Office is required; Construction industry software; Deltek Vision, Timberline, etc.
