    MBA Finance Internship (Summer 2019) The MBA Internship Program is an intensive 10-12 week opportunity that provides work within a fast-paced and challenging environment. MBA interns contribute to meaningful projects, interacting and working side by side with finance industry experts. Our internship program also provides a robust speaker series, which allows interns to hear from top executives throughout the summer. Our company relies heavily on our internship talent pool to fill full-time positions. As an intern with Cardinal Health, you will have the opportunity to interact with other interns and participate in tours, lectures and presentations that will increase your knowledge of Cardinal Health as well as develop your leadership skills. Location - Dublin, Ohio Start Date - May/June 2019 Hours - Salaried internship approximately 40-50 hours a week Role Selection We work directly with our senior leadership to create roles that are challenging, add-value to the business, and meet the developmental needs of our MBA Interns. Through a preferencing process our MBA Interns will have the opportunity to preference the main focus on the role they will have this summer. The roles typically consist of: * Financial Planning & Analysis * Business Unit Finance What is expected of you and others at this level: * Works to understand complex functional situations by paying attention to the details of the tasks at hand and by breaking them down into smaller pieces * Proactively develops and maintains broad knowledge of the technical disciplines in own functional area(s) * Uses deep subject matter/functional expertise, influence and process skills to help internal/external customers and stakeholders identify and meet their high priority needs while considering cultural and diversity implications * Measures and evaluates the effectiveness of protocols, programs or deliverables; compares measurement results to standards * Evaluates alternative solutions/decisions in light of the potential impact on the internal/external customer and Cardinal Health; understands the resource implications of solutions and makes recommendations Accountabilities in this role: * Strong analytical skills and attention to detail * Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures * Must be willing to work independently and make sound decisions expeditiously * Strong quality and results orientation with a proactive approach * Ability to prioritize requests effectively and understand importance and meet deadlines * Must be willing to adapt to shifting requirements or priorities * Ability to work independently with moderate level of direction Qualifications: Cardinal Health primarily recruits current, full-time students who are in the first year of their MBA program and meet the following minimum recommended qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree * Progression toward an MBA in Accounting, Finance, Corporate Finance or related * Healthcare experience preferred but not required * Relevant coursework and/or projects * Previous work experience preferred, but not required * Strong leadership, communication and analytical skills * Established work ethic and ambition * Extensive community service and/or extracurricular activities * Process and results orientation * Must have unlimited work authorization in the United States **If you are offered a position and you accept that position, the offer is contingent upon the satisfactory completion of a drug test, completion of a background investigation, and demonstrated evidence that you are eligible to work for any employer in the United States.
