Product Specialist, OEM Portfolio Management & Development The candidate can sit out the following locations; Chicopee, MA, Mansfield, MA, Deland, FL, Wabasha, MN, Norfolk, NE What Product Management & Development contributes to Cardinal Health Product Management & Development delivers new products and manages existing products and/or services, to meet global OEM customer needs and expectations. Accountabilities in this role * Under the general supervision of the Senior Manager, Sales and Marketing, OEM Specialty Products, this position will primarily manage the transfer of the Medtronic OEM product portfolio * Will be the primary contact for CDP product management on new OEM product launches in Europe * Will support the U.S. OEM Sales & Marketing team; this includes new product launches and manufacturing trials that include electrodes, TENS, hydrogels, custom needles, and syringe product portfolios to B2B markets. * Manage all technical and marketing aspects of the Medtronic (as OEM Customer) product portfolio transition as part of the transfer service agreement (rTMA). Products sold to Medtronic are manufactured in a Patient Recovery facility divested to Cardinal Health that includes Chicopee MA, Norfolk NE, Wabasha MN, Deland FL, KenMex (Mexico), Halberstadt (Germany), Tullamore (Ireland), Fukuroi (Japan), Gammatron (Thailand) and CMS (Costa Rica) * Act as the primary OEM technical/business liaison between Medtronic purchasing and engineering teams and Cardinal Health manufacturing plants and corporate packaging, quality and regulatory; this includes establishing these product codes as an OEM customer in the Cardinal Healths specifications, labeling and operating systems, i.e., SAP, Agile. * Interface with Medtronic business contacts as necessary to respond to inquiries, complaints, or requests for product changes. * Act as primary OEM Marketing contact based in U.S. to support the OEM Europe business to activate (CDP) and launch new custom OEM product codes to OUS OEM customers * Manage European OEM customer requests for product/packaging changes * Support the OEM U.S. Sales & Marketing team to activate (CDP) and launch new customer OEM product codes from conception to release to market What is expected of you and others at this level * Serves as the product and/or services expert and cross-functional teams (e.g. R&D, Sourcing) * Understands and drives product/service features, functions, benefits and global pricing strategy, in collaboration with Product Marketing, to achieve product/service line profitability * Ensures global understanding of and compliance to all product regulatory, quality and legal requirements Qualifications * Bachelors degree in business, engineering, marketing or related fields strongly preferred * Three to five years of medical device manufacturing experience required in a business-to-business sales channel * Up to 15% travel Cardinal Health is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
