    The primary objectives of the HR Specialist are providing support for the Human Resources Department in the areas of Benefits, Employee Relations, Recruitment and more.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Effectively communicating with employees, serving as a point of contact for general HR inquiries.
    • Participates in all areas of HR including (but not limited to)
    • Recruitment- some full cycle recruitment, screening applicants, passive sourcing, scheduling candidate interviews, processing background checks and various employee on-boarding tasks.
    • Benefits- assist with communications and employee support, open enrollment, projects and reporting needs.
    • Employee Relations- coordination of various employee activities, support performance management and employee/manager counseling situations, process termination paperwork and communications, manage personnel documents.
    • Payroll/HRIS- performs various tasks using HRIS system (entering employee data and terminations, populating various reports, etc.), managing various HR reporting
    • General- Provide overall support to HR Team, support federal and state compliance in all offices, assist with various projects as assigned, department expense reports, employment verification

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
    • 3-5 years’ experience working in various areas of an HR department required.
    • 1-2 years’ experience working in an HRIS required; Experience with Oracle or ADP preferred.
    • Knowledge of general employment law, regulations and HR principles including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEO/AAP, Worker’s Compensation, etc required.
    • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
    • Demonstrated leadership skills; ability to work individually and within a group
    • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Must be able to successfully pass all applicable background screening tests.
