    This position will be responsible for the overall security and safety of the employees, assets and a state-of-the-art logistics center.

    KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    Job Duties include the following:

    • Responsible for the physical safety and security of persons, property and assets
    • In collaboration with the Corporate Security department, Branch Manager, the design, implementation and enforcement of a system for the issuance of access badges
    • The design, implementation and enforcement of systems for the issuance of temporary access credentials
    • The recording and investigation of any unusual incidents within the facility
    • Immediate notice to the local Law Enforcement authorities, Branch management and Corporate, upon detecting the presence of a person possessing a deadly weapon, or committing illegal activity
    • Establish and maintain a security plan for the facility that complies with all corporate requirements, regulatory requirements and ensures the safety and security of our guests, our employees and our property
    • Establish and maintain a fire prevention and response plan and ensure sound operations
    • Oversee the scheduling of security staff (contracted service) to effectively safeguard our people and facilities
    • Establish and direct training of security and security-related staff
    • Coordinate and communicate with state and local law enforcement authorities to ensure compliance and to establish a positive and productive working relationship with those authorities
    • Prepare and direct departmental budgets related to security and safety needs
    • Direct activities to monitor access to the facility by employees, guests and contractors
    • Provide oversight to ensure a well-groomed, friendly and alert security staff
    • Coordinate security activities with all related and supporting departments
    • Ensure all access controls, cameras and security equipment are operational and functional using required preventive maintenance
    • Assist, as needed in a threat assessment of terminated employees
    • Make daily safety rounds
    • Lead the site Safety Committee and follow up on actions identified during these meetings
    • Enforce General Plant Safety rules and be a key participant in Emergency Action planning and implementation
    • Assist in safety training as needed

    Required Skills

    • The ideal candidate must be familiar with supply chain security (i.e., logistics, cycle counts, government compliance, etc.)
    • Be detail-oriented and have the demonstrated capability to proactively identify and implement initiatives to enhance and improve the effectiveness of the overall facility security program
    • This individual must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of management from CEO to floor-level staff, to customers
    • Must have a valid driver’s license and vehicle with the ability to respond to alarms and other situations after hours
    • Basic computer skills such as MS/Office/Outlook and Access control and camera systems
    • Ability to exercise initiative, be self-directed, manage time and multiple priorities
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality
    • Candidates will possess prior experience in personnel management
    • Prior Security experience preferred to have been in the high tech manufacturing field, with knowledge of guard staffing and utilization, expertise in CCTV, access control, alarm systems, contingency planning, guard management and development
    • OSHA training/certification preferred
    • Program development and project management skills, including the ability to design and implement complex security programs
    • Extensive experience with key security skills and abilities, including but not limited to, corporate investigations, physical security, executive protection, risk analysis, compliance and emergency management
    • Experience with domestic and international threat monitoring and analysis, including data retrieval and analysis from DHS, FEMA, US State Department (or their international equivalents), and other public and private resources

    Required Experience

    • Bachelor's Degree (BA or BS) from a four year college or university or equivalent experience.  A degree in corporate security management is preferred
    • Five years of investigative experience, or 10+ years of experience with a major law enforcement, Intelligence, military force, or corporate security. Four or more years of security management experience with a large, multi-national company preferred
