Develops embedded software for electronic controls for Kearfott's range of electro-mechanical devices: actuators and brushless DC (BLDC) motors and avionics in the aerospace and defense markets
Works with cross functional technical engineering team on ensuring software requirements are understood and implemented
Conducts design, analysis, and test of software subsystems following defined software development processes
Performs software development and integration using cross-compilation tool sets and simulation tools as well as hardware instrumentation such as digital logic analyzers
Required Skills
Knowledge (proficiency preferred) in C, C++, Python and Labview
Travels, as required, to support program needs
Supports and fosters relationships with our customers’ engineering teams
Able to communicate effectively
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S., visa sponsorship not available
Must be able to work on U.S. government programs and/or obtain security clearance in the future
Required Experience
BS/MS in Computer Science
Entry level to 5 years of experience within embedded software engineering in aerospace, or another high assurance environment
Experience with DO-178C, DO-330 tool qualification and DO-254 standards is a plus
Experience with DAL A/B systems is a plus
Experience with MIL-STD-882E is a plus
Experience with developing and implementing verification test cases for software quality assurance
