    Job Description

    The Daily Execution Leader (DEL) is responsible for leading the Compounding Core and 24/7 teams to Flawlessly produce Compounding products at the site.  The primary goal of this position is to engage the Compounding Core and 24/7 teams in the safe, regulatory-compliant, high quality, and reliable production of products that meet our customers’ needs.  The position owns the tactical operating plans and actions to support the business strategy within the site’s cost commitments.  This role leads, manages and challenges the Core and 24/7 teams to improve effectiveness and identify continuous improvement opportunities.

     

    Responsibilities:

    Purpose and summary / job responsibilities:

    • Own work processes to achieve flawless daily execution to the Stewardship, Quality, Reliability, Engagement (SQRE)
    • Implement the operation strategy developed by Unit Leader and Unit Leadership team
    • Ensure daily execution of the SQRE plan
      • Ensure employees understand the Stewardship programs and behaviors for the area (Life critical, Environmental, Housekeeping, reporting)
      • Ensure SQRE KPI’s are reviewed and on target.  Action Plans are in place to handle off target KPIs by understanding causes and executing solutions to mitigate and resolve
      • Ensure equipment, raw materials and supplies are available for production
      • Remove or mitigate barriers leading to 24/7 Team production issues
      • Communicate issues with the production plan and provide new forecast as needed
      • Lead and act as role model for engagement and proactive behaviors
      • Owner of the Conduct of Operations system in place for flawless daily execution
    • As a member of the Unit Leadership team, ensuring resources required for daily execution are delivered.
      • Working with the Unit team to allocate resources to mitigate and resolve issues. 
      • Working with the Asset and Warehouse Core teams to assign resources to manage and resolve production issues.
      • Coordinate Daily SQRE reviews at the 24/7 and Core levels and communicate to leadership successes and when issues arise
      • Determine and Complete actions to advance teams on the SQRE Strategic Roadmaps and Management Systems
    • Direct Supervision of the Compounding Core staff Manufacturing Experts, Stewardship Leader, and 24/7 Team Captains with indirect supervision of the 24/7 Team hourly employees reporting to the Team Captains.
      • Develop team objectives and unit operating plans to support site objectives for Stewardship, Quality, Reliability and Engagement
      • Lead, coach and remove barriers to allow direct reports to meet their objectives.
      • Track performance and take corrective action as needed.
      • Identify development objectives to ensure highly-capable personnel with identified succession plans

    Continually improve both the production and work processes

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Experience in plant operations and production
    • Experience with thermoplastic compound manufacturing preferred
    • 5S and Six Sigma Black or Green Belt Knowledge
    • Experience in Safe Manufacturing policies and procedures
    • Experience with supervising hourly employees directly or indirectly
    • Minimum of 7 years of relevant plant experience
    • Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
    • Experience with financial budgets and analysis, regulatory requirements and equipment maintenance.
    • Effective communication skills, with ability to communicate internally and externally, through all levels of the organization
