  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    • Maintain and develop continuous audit programs that provide more efficient and complete assurance coverage and/or insight across available transactional data. 
    • Develop a team of data analysts and/or scientists aligned with the internal audit function's mission and objectives. 
    • Support the data analyst staff on different types of operational audit reviews.  
    • Develops standards, strategies, and procedures in support of audits and projects. 
    • Drive quality and continuous improvement throughout data analytics processes including data extraction, risk assessment, data analysis, and visualization/reporting. 
    • Lead or conduct ad hoc reviews and investigations for internal audit or other management. 
    • Provides input on matters regarding data governance, "big data", data quality, machine learning and other relevant enterprise business topics. 
    • Develops effective line management relationships to ensure strong understanding of the business.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • 5+ years in Data Analytics, Statistical Analysis, Data Science or Internal Audit  
    • Experience in the use of data analytics tools including experience in the management and/or use of data analytics tools and platforms such as Alteryx, DataBricks, Python, R, IDEA, ACL, etc. 
    • Experience developing and delivering data analytics and continuous auditing programs. 
    • Extensive knowledge of SAP ERP and table design. 
    • Significant and demonstrable experience in writing SQL queries. 
    • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau.  
    • Must be able to manage multiple priorities, effective team interactions, negotiating issues, and resolving problems. 
    • Proven verbal and written communication skills. 
    • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and Access. 
    • Bachelor’s in Data Analytics or similar area.

      

    DESIRABLE KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: 

    • Data analytics and/or data forensics experience at a public accounting firm or large global corporation. 
    • Relevant professional certification such as CPA, CFE, CIA, CISA, etc. 
    • Experience with SQL database management system. 
    • Sound understanding of processes, risks, and controls. 
    • Supervision of team of data analyst/scientist or internal auditors.  
    • Internal audit experience. 
    • Familiarity with coding used in data analysis software. 
    • Experience with robotic process and robotic desktop automation and related tools.  
    • Strong interpersonal skills for interfacing with all levels of management.
