Responsibilities: This is an individual contributor role that consists of, but is not limited to: Hands-on completion of analysis of in-process and final batch test results in support of manufacturing and R&D product development projects. As decisions and actions are based on lab results, this position requires diligent detail in following lab procedures, record keeping and documentation, and accurate calculations and reporting, with use of PC applications. Successful candidate must be able to communicate successfully with other departments. This Lab is a 24/7 operation. Successful candidate must be willing to work 10 hour rotating day/night shifts. Qualifications: The successful candidate for this position must: Achieve an acceptable score on a basic math test that includes calculating percentages, averages, unit conversions and rounding. Demonstrate minimum color aptitude by scoring a 50 or lower using the Farnsworth-Munsell Hue Test. Laboratory management will also assess results screening for color deficiencies as outlined in the FM 100 test method. Be able to lift 55 lbs. Be dependable Excellent attendance and Timeliness is required. Be accurate Thorough documentation and accurate lab records are imperative. Have the ability to multi-task. Have some laboratory experience. Must be able to follow lab instructions and written procedures. Have a strong commitment to safety and working safely. Be a self-motivated individual with a strong motivation for accurate results. Plastics or polymer Laboratory experience preferably in basic polymer testing -- (Such as Ash, MFR, volatiles, color, physical properties testing). Injection molding processing experience, instrument calibrations and preventive maintenance of test equipment and molding processing equipment a plus. ISO17025 and ISO/TS 16949 quality system and audit experience. Required Years of Experience 0-3 Years Required Education High School Diploma. Some secondary education a plus.
