    Job Description

    SUMMARY

    This is an opportunity for a highly motivated and self-directed individual who has achieved their degree recently to develop their Continuous Improvement capabilities through the study, implementation and facilitation of the lean tools and methodology. To monitor progress and support as necessary to drive project implementation and sustainability.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Works with Site CI Lead, Regional CI lead, local CI coordinator(s), Operations Management and Engineering where applicable to learn and apply the lean tools in critical areas of opportunity
    • Assist and learn how to assign project work to employees
    • Apply tools learned to train and develop associates at all levels.
    • Must be able to manage and interact effectively with diverse groups and personalities.
    • Must have proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
    • Must have strong written and presentation skills.
    • Capable to learn how to value streams to help facilitate improvement targets.
    • Assist in Facilitates training, team meetings and kaizen events.
    • Supports and positively drives 5S improvements.
    • Consults with suppliers and customers as needed to achieve goals.
    • Support a culture of change and improvement.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    EXPERIENCE and EDUCATION:
    0-3 years of experience in the Science, Math, Engineering and or Education

    SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/PROFICIENCIES/COMPETENCIES:

    · Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations

    · Quality - Looks for ways to improve and promote quality

    · Quantity - Meets productivity standards; completes work in timely manner

    · Thoughtful and effective communications skills

    · Ability to read, write, and speak fluently in English

    · Proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
