    Job Description

    Currently, we are seeking a qualified candidate for an Inspector “B” position to join our Chromalloy Orangeburg team.

    This is an hourly position with Local 475. Rate of pay as of 9/19/2023 is $25.26/hr.

    • Inspection of HPT (High pressure turbine) blades and vanes. The heart of the jet engine.
    • Complete incoming and final Inspection to ensure production is completing processes correctly as defined in the production work instructions.
    • Utilize inspection and test equipment (caliper, micrometer, comparator, ruler, meters, Etc.) to verify products to specification.
    • Capable of performing the various visual and dimensional on the various part types.
    • Capable of NDT Inspections (Airflow, surface finish, magnetoscope, and core inspection)
    • Communicate product/process/documentation discrepancies and potential discrepancies to aid continuous improvement efforts.
    • Suggest opportunities for improvement for the company.
    • Other duties and responsibilities as required.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Must be able to read and write English.
    • Must be able to read blueprints and drawings.
    • Ability to take measurements.
    • Read and understand process documents and industry standards.
    • Team Player with excellent communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy a must.
    • High attention to detail.
    • Excellent organization skills and willingness to learn.

    Education, Training and Experience Requirements:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • College credits or college degree preferred.
    • Minimum 0-3 years exp. as a quality inspector in a manufacturing environment.
    • Authorization to work in the U.S.
