Job Description
BASIC POSITION FUNCTION:
Responsible for performing detailed technical functions and evaluations of processes, material and process outcomes related to Airflow Measurement to support aerospace and industrial gas turbine testing, manufacturing and engineering operations.

EXPERIENCE:
1-3 years of experience working in a technical environment.
TYPICAL EDUCATION:
Technical Associates Degree in area of specialty or High school diploma/GED and equivalent work experience
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/PROFICIENCIES:
DIFFERENTIATING EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
· Uses effective interpersonal skills while interacting with other peers in a collaborative environment.
· Experience with flow measurement equipment and general knowledge of flow measurement principles, particularly as it relates to the measurement of airflow.
· Familiarity with pressurized air supply equipment (air compressors, air tanks, piping, valving, pressure regulators, air filters, vacuum pumps, etc.)
· Familiarity with safety considerations and protocols related to the use of pressurized air and other potential hazards encountered in a laboratory setting.
· Familiar with the use of most tools commonly found in a shop/laboratory.
· Familiarity with pressure and temperature measurement instrumentation.
· Experienced carrying out testing while following detailed test instructions.
· Proactive in gaining understating of the tasks assigned and self-directed to drive tasks to completion.
· Able to maintain clear records of work performed.
· Maintains clear and effective communication with lab manager and other engineers.
· When facing roadblocks during daily work uses effective troubleshooting skills to resolve issues, and quickly seeks help as needed to continue making progress.
· Proficient use of MS Office Tools including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point.
· Able to:
o work second shift,
o accommodate occasional travel,
o occasionally support part-time weekend coverage based on needs.
