Summer Engineering Interns Summary: Provides support to engineering and
production to improve quality and cost, through defining, developing and
revising processes for the manufacturing environment. Works directly
with a mentor to learn the Cirtec Medical business in order to complete
a summer-long Engineering project. Responsibilities: * Works on
developing and improving existing processes for new or modified
products, while maintaining adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices
(GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) * Identifies and specifies
materials, tools, and equipment required to support process development
- Works with engineers and technicians to develop and implement process
improvements for current production products * Troubleshoots processes
when part failures occur; diagnose issues and report to engineering and
manufacturing * Communicates with cross functional departments * Other
duties as assigned Requirements: * Minimum of 2 years completed towards
an engineering degree * Strong computer skills, including the MS Office
suite * Basic knowledge of engineering principles, technical writing,
materials properties * Ability to interpret technical drawings and
technical documents * Must be able to read, write and speak fluent
English * Must be able to make clear and accurate decisions * Must be
able to use a systematic approach to solving problems by researching and
evaluating alternative solutions * Must be able to communicate well,
both verbally and in writing, and work well in a team environment as
well as independently at times * Able to respond to changing priorities
with minimum disruption and balance multiple tasks * Must be able to
lead discussions and meetings with staff related to job role * On the
job training as required to meet job requirements
