    We are seeking a Customer Support Engineer with Avionics experience to join our Customer Service and Support team. The Service and Support team holds a critical customer facing role to ensure our customers’ needs are not only met, but exceeded. They are responsible for the execution and delivery of new product solutions to customers and partners through coordination of product introduction, rollout and updates to ensure ongoing competitive position for all product lines. They will act as a liaison between the customer and Astronautics and provide information to customers in response to inquiries about products and services, as well as assist with complaints, product issues, and other queries. They will provide troubleshooting and preventative maintenance services on many of Astronautics products for both major and minor customers in the field.

     

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Professionally handle incoming requests from customers and ensure that issues are resolved both promptly and thoroughly to the customers’ satisfaction.
    • Commission, maintain and provide emergency support for Astronautics equipment at customer sites.
    • Perform preventive maintenance, equipment start-ups and field modifications.
    • Communicate with customer personnel to keep them apprised of all onsite or equipment related issues.
    • Meet with customers on a regular basis to ensure that we are providing quality service and meeting their individual needs.
    • Amplify the Voice of the Customer within Astronautics, representing the customers’ technical interests, generating insights, removing obstacles, and influencing product development roadmaps.
    • Participate in regular training sessions for new and existing products at Astronautics utilizing test equipment to enhance trouble-shooting skills.
    • Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and execute adoption strategies through field experiences that promote successful customers and increase expansion and renewal sales.
    • Discuss problems related to maintenance or operation of equipment, with cross-functional teams, when necessary. Recommend product or service modifications or improvements based on information gathered from customer service experiences.

     

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Associate degree in electronics engineering technology or related field from the military or an accredited institution.

    • Minimum 5 years of experience in interpreting a variety of aircraft wiring diagrams, schematics, engineering drawings, aircraft work instructions and written instructions.

    • Minimum 5 years of applied aerospace industry experience including performing diagnostic, troubleshooting and repair of aerospace equipment..

    • Must possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills and proven technical and analytical problem solving skills.

    • Must be a self-starter and have the ability to consistently exercise appropriate discretion in the performance of duties.

    • Must have experience working with aircraft operators/maintenance personnel.

    • Ability to travel up to 50%, including some international travel.

     

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • General knowledge of FAA requirements for a FAR 145 repair station.
    • Academic training through an FAA-certificated Aviation Maintenance Technician School (AMTS).
    • Performed proper inspection and documentation of aircraft parts, installations and assemblies that verifies dimensional/positional accuracy within engineering compliance requirements.
