SUMMER 2018 MARKETING INTERN Project Overview CCNNEs Marketing Department is the central point of support and guidance for the organizations Sales Center teams as it relates to new product launches, thematic events and brand initiatives. A key aspect of the Marketing Departments work is managing the Point of Sale (POS) and Ambient Merchandising Elements (AME) deemed essential to the success of planned programs. This includes identifying and communicating needs to Sales Center teams, placing company orders, monitoring status of shipments and maintaining relationships with suppliers, among other things. The Marketing Intern will be tasked with analyzing current marketing materials processes and recommending improvements. The internship will culminate in CCNNEs first-ever AME Showcase coordinated by the Marketing Intern. Goals and Objectives · Analyze life cycle of marketing materials (POS, AME, premiums) from the point of demand through placement in-market, focusing on communication routines between CCNNEs Marketing and Sales Center teams · Meet with and interview one Sales Center team from each of CCNNEs divisions to obtain data and identify best practices · Identify challenges to current model and make recommendations around improvements / future opportunities · Coordinate AME Showcase; Work with other members of CCNNEs Marketing Department to determine event marketing, timing, logistics, venue, vendor participation and attendees Learning Outcomes: · Gain knowledge of CCNNEs organizational structure and its relationship to both Kirin Holdings and The Coca-Cola Company · Develop an understanding of how marketing materials directly contribute to the success of marketing initiatives · Obtain experience in project management and event planning Requirements CCNNE is looking for an undergraduate student who is majoring in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications or a related field. This person should have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong research and analysis skills. The ideal candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and be willing to travel. Previous experience in sales, marketing and / or event planning is desirable but not required.
