The 1st Shift Truck Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently operate a tractor-trailer truck to deliver finished product to the customer in accordance with state laws.

Monday - Friday (6:00 am - 2:30 pm) Flexibility in weekend and shift work required.

This full-time position reports directly to the Warehouse Supervisor and is located at Liberty Packaging’s manufacturing facility in Phoenix, Arizona.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Load and unload trailer with finished products
• Verify count while truck is being unloaded at customer site
• Transport load by required route to proper destination while observing all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Complete all required documentation necessary to deliver customer orders
• Complete required reports in an accurate and timely manner
• Perform daily timesheets and driver logs efficiently
• Report any maintenance, damage and/or safety concerns
• Ability to adhere to attendance, safety, quality, OSHA and GMP standards
• Ability to lift loads up to 35 pounds
• Compliance with DOT regulations and standards
• Additional duties as assigned

Required Skills

Required Education, Experience, and Skills:

• Minimum 2+ years, experience as a truck driver.
• Have a valid state Commercial Drivers’ License and meet Department of Transportation physical and medical requirements.
• High degree of attention and considerable dexterity in the control of a tractor-trailer and in the prevention of damage to materials and equipment.
• Must clear background check and drug/substance abuse screening in accordance with company and DOT policies.
• Ability to work unsupervised and independently.
• High school diploma or GED
