THE FUNCTION:
Controls engineering is a diverse and multidisciplinary group that designs, tests, manufactures, and supports intelligent engine controls systems. These control systems include safety critical software, electronics, and hydro-mechanical systems.
Engineers within Control systems may work on a wide variety of projects to support our customers in areas including: systems integration, software activities, mechanical design, electronic design, systems testing, hardware testing, and supporting the fleet. While performing your tasks, you will also be able to input problem solving ideas for the overall team. Controls Engineers work with agility and a strong desire for continuous improvement of both our products and their own knowledge.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
As a Controls Electrical Engineer, you will have the opportunity to design and develop aircraft engine control and engine monitoring electronics while working on a cross functional team under the direction of a senior engineer. A controls electronic engineer will be involved with the design, debugging, testing and integration of electronic components in a variety of areas. Additionally, you will be able to define an electronics test approach, test plan, conduct tests, and report results for assigned components.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
You will need a technical background and a degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Computer Engineering.
In addition, you will need excellent communication skills, be driven to ask questions, seek novel solutions, and work well in a collaborative environment.
MINIMUM GPA: 3.0
STANDING/GRADUATION ELIGIBILITY: You will receive your degree between December 2021 and August 2022.
WORK AUTHORIZATION ELIGIBILITY: U.S. Citizen. No sponsorships are available for this role.
