    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    The incumbent is responsible for supporting the primary engineers assigned to specific projects. This includes but not limited to the development of scope of work, producing control schematics, wiring diagrams, sequences of operations (SOPs), schedules, software/programming design, graphics, engineering documents/checklists, and at times may performing remote/on-site checkouts/commissioning. They may communicate directly with fellow team members to confirm project requirements and otherwise ensure the project is implemented to the satisfaction of the customer.

    Specific responsibilities for this position may include:

    • Use company or customer design standards to assist creation of project shop drawings per project documentation including valve, damper or other schedules as required
    • Organize, read and understand project specifications and MEP drawing sets, sales proposals and take-off documents. Provide support for verifying equipment locations and quantities.
    • Selects materials including DDC modules, field sensing and control devices, dampers and valves to meet the project requirements, specifications, codes and customer standards.
    • Utilize company or customer standard programs for designing the graphic function blocks (programming) for assigned projects
    • Create project database utilizing company and customer standards
    • Configure input, output, and network addressing as well as additional parameters, trends, and alarms
    • Conduct graphics engineering functions which includes: creating equipment graphics per project documents, create Automated Logic's graphics submittal packages as required, develop and maintain graphic library, and participate in solution of job-related graphic problems

    EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS:

    • US Citizen or Permanent Resident
    • COVID-19 vaccines will be required for all newly hired Carrier U.S. Salaried employees
    • Knowledge of computer networking systems
    • Proficient with Microsoft Suite
    • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
    • Experience with engineering design programs such as AutoCAD, Microsoft Visio, etc. preferred
    • Knowledge in DDC control theory and applications pertaining to the HVAC/Control preferred
    • Prior experience in HVAC and/or Building Automation preferred

    EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS:

    • Candidates pursuing a Bachelors or Master's in Mechanical Engineering; or Electrical Engineering;
    • GPA must be greater than or equal to 3.0 GPA
    • Relevant coursework or previous internships preferred
