Location: Aiken Rehabilitation and Care Center – Aiken, SC
Aiken Rehabilitation and Care Center is seeking a Cook to join our skilled nursing facility in Aiken, SC.
In this role, you will assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals in accordance with planned menus and established portion control procedures.
Shift Available
• Full-Time | 6:30 AM – 1:30 PM
Pay
• Starting at $15.00 per hour
Responsibilities
• Prepare all food items for service.
• Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours.
• Memorize, record, and comprehend menu items, abbreviations, plate appearance, and portion sizes.
• Follow standard recipes and special diet orders.
• Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Adhere to all sanitation and food production regulations.
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and appliances.
• Ensure food is prepared and served according to facility policies and dietary guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One (1) year of dining services experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or other related healthcare setting preferred.
• Culinary school training preferred.
• Current ServSafe Certification required.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and therapeutic diets preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
