    JOB SUMMARY

    The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for the generation of sales of Manufactured Stone Veneer in the residential, commercial, public works, and industrial market segments of Southern California. This position will be primarily responsible for the sales, development and support of their customer account base to meet various sales and production targets. The successful candidate will cultivate and maintain strong relationships with our customers. This position will collaborate with other members of the Sales team, Operations, Quality Control, Customer Service Dispatch, Credit and Management teams to ensure timely placement schedules and product selection of customers.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • In concert with the Company’s objectives, establish and implement effective sales strategies related to market and account management.
    • Work in the field making sales calls and attending industry events to develop close relationships with key decision makers among existing and new customers.
    • Work with the technical sales staff in prioritizing project bids and sales opportunities to be pursued.
    • Develop and implement follow-up strategies on specific construction projects identified as requiring Company products.
    • Focus on consistently exceeding sales volume, pricing, and profitability goals while also providing accurate sales forecasting.
    • Communicate with existing customers providing customer service, price quotes, product selection suggestions, quality checks and dispute resolution by building strong relationships between the customer and Company.
    • Identify, target and acquire new customer accounts.
    • Interface regularly with Operations, Customer Service, Dispatch, Quality Control and Credit to meet or exceed customer demands.
    • Daily communication with other sales and Company staff to ensure all business aspects of safety, environmental, operations, sales and customer needs are satisfied.

    POSITION INFORMATION

    • Position is full-time salaried exempt, 40+ hours per week.
    • The Outside Sales Representative reports directly to the Regional Sales Manager.

    COMPETENCIES

    • Proven sales track record and performance selling concrete products – (Manufactured Stone Veneer a +)
    • MUST have experience in areas of selling to architects, general contractors, masons, owners, distributors – Hybrid performer
    • Ability to organize and perform PK events and AIA Presentations at targeted specifying architectural firms
    • Excellent ability to understand, interpret and communicate both verbal and written communication and instruction.
    • Experience to cold call job sites, architects, owners, builders promoting Coronado Stone value proposition
    • The ability to prioritize numerous tasks in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
    • Ability to grasp and communicate the technical aspects of Coronado Stone product line and installation techniques.
    • Possess at least an intermediate level of computer competency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and web based applications.
    • Must be able to self-manage and prioritize goals with minimal supervision.
    • Closing of sales is required to building materials industry, concrete, brick and accessory products
    • Ability to cross sell Coronado Products across all categories

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    • 4+ years sales experience with experience in concrete related products + contractor + architectural sales a must. (Manufactured Stone Veneer sales a +)
    • 4 year college degree preferred.
    • Applicant must hold and maintain a valid CA driver’s license with no major infractions.
