    INTERN - Buyer Location WA, Lynnwood Department Operations Employment Type Temporary Full Time - Employee Crane Aerospace & Electronics has a unique and exciting career opportunity for a Buyer Intern at our Lynnwood, WA facility. As an intern at Crane Aerospace & Electronics, you will develop knowledge about the business through exposure to a functional area (such as Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Lean principles). You will focus on developing the skills necessary for success by assisting employees with day-to-day job assignments. You may be assigned to additional training or project work. The Company's internship program is intended to provide students from diverse backgrounds with the opportunity to practice business skills learned in school while gaining work experience. Buyer Intern Responsibilities: Assist the project team with purchasing activities including but not limited to: Issuing Purchase Orders to vendors & contractors for material & services Setting up vendors in Oracle (ERP system) Resolving invoicing issues Expediting material orders Reconciling purchases to accounting statements Spend & budget analysis Assist with other project management activities as time permits Project Team Overview: Crane is consolidating our Redmond, WA manufacturing & engineering campus into our Lynnwood, WA campus. To accomplish this we are renovating three of our four buildings to include: 2 new clean rooms for manufacturing 4 new engineering labs Office space renovation Cafeteria renovation Relocating & renovating 2 breakrooms General manufacturing space renovations Minimum Requirements: Experience : Must be actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a Materials-related field. Recent graduates may also be considered for this temporary intern position. Skills : Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills Possess effective interpersonal skills in a team environment Must be project-oriented and be able to multi-task Knowledge/proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft PowerPoint Ability to fulfill a one quarter or semester internship commitment, 40 hours per week Education / Certification : Must provide GPA, minimum accepted 3.1 on a 4.0 scale. Employment Eligibility Requirement : Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident and not require Visa sponsorship to be eligible. Because we contract with the US Department of Defense we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Working Conditions: The position will be based at Cranes Lynnwood location and require some travel to the Redmond site. Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and any other required PPE Requires lifting 25 lbs.
