    SEP - Material Handling Associate (2nd shift) No, this isnt one of those ordinary jobs. It is thejob. This is what we call Working Right. Transports materials, receives parts and restocks inventory within the determined geographical location. Processes material receipts, verifies receipt matches manifest and packing slip; makes corrections as needed. Ships interplant and processes material by appropriate inventory transactions with computer or hand held terminal to various internal and external locations, part status changes, debit memos, generic inventory management system, etc. Receives and transports material and/ or consumable items to appropriate location within plant. Maintains controlled stores accuracy and routinely audits store area to achieve inventory accuracy; keeps accurate inventory log of all components. Operates and maintains material handling/processing equipment such as fork truck, golf carts, etc. Assists with identification and disposition of outdated materials. Performs and records cursory part classification. Prepares and ship packages of varying size and quantity domestic and international. Knows and complies with departmental, site, and company policies and procedures including the proper wear and use of required personal protective equipment. Participates in training and personal development; assists in training department personnel. Participates in improvement projects; uses common problem techniques while working alone or in teams. Communicates effectively within the assigned team and with all support teams. Maintains housekeeping and safety in work areas. Remains flexible and performs other miscellaneous duties, as required, to get the job done. Completes work with minimal supervision. Operates within team-based work system and rotates job routine as needed.
