    IT Technical Desktop Support Intern General Summary: Under the

    direction of the IT Helpdesk supervisor, the intern role is a developmental position that provides maintenance of the computer desktop environment by analyzing requirements, resolving problems, installing hardware and software solutions, and supporting the internal Information Technology (IT) Helpdesk. He/she will be responsible for administration and internal support of PCs, desktop software, office suite, desk and cell phone, printer, and related equipment. Tasks include end user support, and performing PC maintenance, upgrades and configurations. Duties and Responsibilities: Assists with onboarding of new users Documents internal procedures Ensures each workstation has a computer and is mapped to a printer; monitor; keyboard; mouse; hard drive, and any additional specialized equipment Assist with installing equipment and run cabling Modifies configurations, utilities, software default settings, etc. for the local workstation Monitors, support and responds quickly and effectively to requests received through the IT helpdesk procedures Performs timely workstation hardware and software upgrades as required Perform desktop imaging and deploy Windows 7/10 workstations Reports issues to the Helpdesk for escalation To accurately record, update and document requests and incidents using the IT service desk ticketing system. To diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents, including operating systems and across a range of software applications. Answer help desk phone calls and diagnose issues over the phone with an emphasis on customer service Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by IT Helpdesk Supervisor Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Full time student maintaining a 2.5 or above GPA for undergrads and a 3.0 or above for graduate students and currently enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters Degree Program majoring in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or equivalent. Transcripts and class schedules will be requested. General understanding of the Microsoft Windows 7 or 10, Microsoft Office 2016 suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook) Knowledge of basic computer hardware Excellent customer service skills, including verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational and troubleshooting skills Able to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment Ability to create and maintain positive and professional business relationships with internal associates **Primary Location: **North America-North America-United States-CA-Torrance **Work Locations: ** **Job: **Information Technology **Organization: **Danaher Corporation **Schedule: **Full-time
