About the Department: * The chemistry department at Cepheid (Bothell) is responsible for the development of new reagents and manufacturing of reagents that are incorporated into GeneXpert tests. Reagents made in Bothell are crucial to the robust and accurate function of our tests. Job Summary: * During this internship, you will have an opportunity to work closely with a tight knit group of talented scientists in the chemistry research department. Innovation is the key to our success, and as an intern you will have the opportunity to participate in the development of novel reagents and technologies with the aim of eventually benefitting the test platform. You will have the opportunity to create new reagents through organic and inorganic chemistry, as well as running assays to assess their performance and utility.
