ResponsibilitiesR&D; Scientist, Industrial Water Treatment The Scientist, Industrial Water Treatment R&D is responsible for researching and developing chemical technologies for Cooling/Boiler water treatment, application testing using various test methods and building new test equipment in the lab to duplicate the customer requirements. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES * Perform application testing in the areas of corrosion inhibition, scale inhibition and cleaning solutions. * These tests include, but not limited to, spinner bath studies, electrochemical corrosion studies, pilot cooling tower studies, bottle tests, dynamic loop scale inhibition studies, etc. * Develop and document technical procedures; identify and evaluate new technologies; Data interpretation and Presentations. * Responsibilities also include building new lab testing equipment to duplicate the conditions at the customer site, such as pilot cooling towers, flow loops, etc. * Other responsibilities also include working on developing PolyTrack curves for measuring polymer content in products and working with Sales team to troubleshoot product feed rate issues. * Travel to customers as needed and provide support in new product trials, data gathering and reporting it to Senior R&D Leaders and Tech Staff team.
