A college internship position focused on learning and assisting the department in inventory optimization while monitoring production and inventory levels using state of the art enterprise resource planning application and tools. -Day-to-Day Role: -Learn Dart's products, international and domestic distribution channels, procedures, personnel, production locations, philosophies, and strategies -Assist and perform various department functions, including planning for selected product lines, monitor inventory levels, use capacity and priority to convert planned orders into production, purchase, and/or stock transfer orders, document procedures, analyses, attendance and documentation of meetings -Provide analytical support by completing a wide variety of special projects, including Supply Chain Management (SCM) process improvement projects -Act as liaison between departments through meetings, telephone contact, and written correspondence -Learn relevant computer software used in the department, post database entries, and submit e-mail messages -Core Skills and Qualifications: The ideal candidate must possess all of the following: -Junior or Senior status working towards a Bachelors degree with emphasis in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration or related field of study -Strong analytical skills and ability to recognize problems and recommend solutions to problems -Ability to identify issues, compare data, investigate and resolve discrepancies -Strong attention to detail and accuracy -Ability to utilize business sense and creativity to develop ideas and solutions -Excellent verbal and written skills necessary in order to communicate intricate job-related processes, procedures and decisions to internal customers -Organizational skills including the ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines -Experience using Microsoft Office, including the ability to create basic reports, documents, presentations and spreadsheets in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint -Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision Dart Container is an equal opportunity employer and will consider all candidates for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. -If you have a disability and need an accommodation to access this website or for the application process, you should call Dart at (800) 545-3278 Ext 3370 or email us at ADArequests@dart.biz.
