Provide support to management in training and conducting cycle counts, reconciling variances and printing reports.
Plan the daily orders (outbound and inbound deliveries), based upon certain criteria that ensure sufficient use of resources while meeting fiscal targets.
Communicate daily workload to Warehouse leadership / shift lead for tailgate meetings.
Direct and prioritize all work to the Warehouse associates.
Communicate arrival and departure of carriers to the warehouse associates.
Monitor the operation of SAP and communicate faults with the warehouse associates.
Research and clear errors in the SAP warehouse management work queue.
Arrive, depart, and schedule carriers in conjunction with 3rd party.
Print, distribute, and file all daily shipping documents (picklists etc.).
Communicate with and direct all incoming and outgoing drivers.
Providing relief in SAP duties such as, but not limited to; updating of material storage characteristics, ensuring clear out of workstations within SAP, processing reversals and returns, providing daily management statistics on throughput of the warehouse
Research stock discrepancies requested by Customer Support and make appropriate adjustments.
Assist DC management in training temporary labor during peak shipping periods.
May assist management to ensure the compliance with policies and take appropriate action where needed.
May assist management in the direction of staff to accomplish daily responsibilities.
Ensure daily reports are printed and distributed daily.
Troubleshoot technical issues relative to manifest problems.
Instill a sense of urgency and pride in the shipping /receiving clerks to achieve and surpass department expectations.
Complete all required training applicable to assigned position.
Exhibit positivity, flexibility, creativity, and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or required.
Required Skills
Required Experience
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
3+ years’ experience in a planning or project support role
Work experience in inventory control
Knowledge of warehouse procedure and policy
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
SAP experience preferred
Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities
Qualifications
Computer knowledge is advised.
Ability to interpret a variety of gauges and measurement instrumentation.
Use reading and writing, adding and subtracting of whole numbers; following of instructions; use of fixed gauges, direct reading of instruments and similar devices where interpretation is not required.
Mechanical aptitude is a plus.
Must be able to work 2nd shift consistently; a shift compensation premium will be provided.
