  • Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Physical receipt and identification of incoming materials in controlled material storage locations
    • Virtual receipt of incoming materials in applicable material planning systems
    • Perform incoming, inter-departmental, interplant, and outgoing material transactions in material planning systems
    • Maintains accurate account of all materials within controlled storage locations through material identification, control of area, 5S maintenance, proper transactions, and random cycle counts
    • Manages Warehouse-to-Production replenishment system, pulling and transacting materials from warehouse to replenish production areas multiple times a week
    • Ensures compliance of controlled material storage locations with applicable ISO, FDA, and Invacare requirements
    • Coordinates with Materials Specialist to determine and maintain proper inventory levels to prevent production schedule deviations
    • Provides, completes, reviews and updates material status reports
    • Participates in production meetings reporting out updates on material outages and possibly delivery issues
    • Provides support to the Materials Specialists as requested
    • Complete all required training applicable to assigned position
    • Exhibit positivity, flexibility, creativity, and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or required.

    Required Skills Required Experience

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High school diploma or GED equivalency
    • Basic math skills
    • Must be proficient in Excel spreadsheets and Microsoft Word
    • Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings
    • Must be able to write reports and correspondence
    • Experience working with MRP/ERP systems
    • Familiarity with data entry and scheduling procedures/systems
    • Must demonstrate excellent phone skills and be able to communicate with individuals at all levels within the organization
    • Willingness and ability to develop technical expertise to use new systems as introduced to department
    • Flexibility to operate in a changing environment with deadline pressures
    • Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
    • Must be able to physical count articles or products on shelves, racks, or pallets
    • Experience operating a forklift.
