Production Material Handler III 1st Shift Key Responsibilities - Unpacks and checks pallets coming from the warehouse. Check for damaged items and shortages. Corresponds with the warehouse to rectify damages and shortages. - Maintains inventory of raw materials, packing components, machine supplies and department safety supplies. - Able to use hand truck to move pallets of materials to the work area. - Separates quarantine items from remaining stock. - Fills requisitions. - Verifies and signs for incoming material transfers. - Verify product received from production/warehouse is consistent with the accompanying paperwork with regards to item number, lot number, quantity, etc. - Ability to prioritize work schedule based on the daily/hourly requirements. - Maintains a clean, neat and safe workplace. - Flexible hours based on department needs. - Figure gross, net and tare weights. - Label containers in compliance with customer requirements and governmental regulations (HMIS labels). - Cycle counting and computer entry. - Maintain a thorough knowledge of the flow of paperwork and materials per the record retention guidelines as well as interaction with Customer Service, Planning and Production. - Handle the creation and distribution of shipping documents as required. - Ability to schedule work within the department to meet production needs.

    • Ability to modify and change documents. - Other duties as assigned - Ability to convert between the Metric System and U.S. Customary System.
    • Must be able to read and follow typed and handwritten instructions. - Must be able to use moving equipment such as hand truck. - Attention to detail and ability to accurately count. - Legible handwriting. - Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and memos. - Ability to write simple correspondence and to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. - Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measures, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals and metric measurements. - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. - Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office products preferred. - Ability to speak effectively before groups and employees in the organization. - Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, metric measurement and decimals. - Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or diagram form.
