POSITION SUMMARY: The MTM Technician 2, along with the MTM Lead, will be responsible for ensuring the processing of MTM cases. They will prepare models, fabricate aligners, scan, section and thermoform; with responsibility in one of these functional areas (set-up, activation or digital processes) as defined in the position posting. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Alignment Functional Area Responsibilities * PR and tooth alignment * Final wax preparation Activation Functional Area Responsibilities * Aligner activation * Final inspection of cases Digital Process Functional Area Responsibilities - * Creating overlay models * Case analysis by digital measurement In addition all functional areas listed above must be able to perform the following: o Preparation of incoming cases * Thoroughly examine the RX form and the Doctors instructions to ensure all instructions are followed properly o Ensure production schedule is adhered to o Keep detailed record of work done * Pouring, trimming and detailing of stone models from doctors impression o Scan original/ final models & thermoforming of re-set trays o Segmentation and re-setting of teeth in wax/tray o Form and finish of aligners, retainers and bleach trays o Other duties as assigned * Other duties as assigned. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES: * Writes and speaks clearly and concisely * Ability add, subtract, multiply and divide * Capable of handling stressful situations * Ability to read and comprehend instructions * Maintain sense of urgency and ability to prioritize work
    • Sound understanding of the principles of the MTM appliances * Basic Computer skills * Understanding of dental terminology * Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity skills OTHER REQUIREMENTS: * Prior use of 3D software desirable * At least one year of orthodontic laboratory experience required * Meet or exceed the MTM Tech 1 job criteria * Currently maintaining a minimum of a 6 month consecutive departmental metric requirements * Must have the ability to meet departmental metric requirements * Ability to train new hires as required * Must be proficient in performing quality inspections as required SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: * None. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: * High School Diploma/GED required. ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS: * Limited temperature fluctuations, air conditioned environment. * Exposure to general manufacturing environment. * The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
