    We are seeking a motivated, results-oriented college student to join our team for the summer of 2023. The Carrier internship experience offers interns an environment that provides practical, challenging, and meaningful on-the-job work experience, and the opportunity to apply knowledge and demonstrate strengths in efforts to assist Carrier in achieving its business strategy.

    As a Digital Foundry - Digital Design & Research intern you will gain experience to include, but not limited to, the following activities and tasks:

    • Working with interaction and product designers to create pixel perfect product interfaces.

    • Collaborating with UX researchers to imagine new features and bring them to life.

    • Applying brand style guides and design systems across touchpoints.

    • Creating journey maps, systems diagrams, and other essential UX artifacts.

    • Collaborating with other designers, technologists, and product management.

    • Creating ideas to expand brand and design styles to accommodate new use cases.

    • Defining product interactions necessary to support user goals.

    • Producing and owning artifacts such as: user requirements specifications, user flows, personas.

    • Designing digital interfaces, including dashboards, charts, and data visualizations.

    • Creating prototypes to illustrate functionality for implementation.

    • Documenting detailed design specifications for engineers.

    EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

    • Proactive and results-driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

    • Excellent analytical and communication skills.

    • Preferred strong technical skills in any of the following: UI design, software development, data analytics, data science, Cloud infrastructure, networking, or cybersecurity.

    • Fluent in relevant design and prototyping tools - especially Figma.

    • Emerging knowledge of capabilities and limitations of technologies like HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

    • Proven ability to create site maps, wireframes, and other common UX design artifacts

    • Relevant internships or co-op experiences within Information Technology or Engineering functions.

    • Team player with a positive, collaborative work ethic.

    • Digitally savvy with an interest in cutting-edge digital trends.

    EDUCATION

    • Must be currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree program, majoring in Human Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, User Experience, or a related field of study.

    • GPA must be greater than or equal to 3.0.

    • Relevant coursework or previous internships preferred.

    • Flexibility and mobility to be located in either West Palm Beach, Florida, or Atlanta, GA locations.

    • COVID-19 vaccines will be required for all newly hired Carrier U.S. Salaried employees.

    • Applicant must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
