We are seeking a Software Engineer Intern in our Minnetonka, MN office. The Software Engineer Intern will assist with the design, development, modifications, and implementation of software programming for products both internally and externally while achieving high quality and on-time delivery. The Intern will be responsible for ensuring the overall functional quality of a released product on all required platforms and mechanisms. The Intern will work closely with Software Engineers on projects of limited scope. What Youll Do: Design and Development: Partner with Software on design, development, implementation, and maintenance of single product modules/sub-systems or on lower level issues of multiple products Perform routine maintenance and enhancements on existing software products via coding, testing, and debugging Make suggestions for solutions to problems or software enhancements Work with technical staff to learn and understand problems with software Perform simple defect verification, release testing, and beta support for assigned products Work in an agile and collaborative environment What Youll Need to Succeed: In progress of obtaining a degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering / related field Familiar with one or more of the following languages: C/C++, Java Solid written and verbal communication skills Preferred: General understanding of IT systems infrastructure and engineering practices Fundamental knowledge of software design, development, debugging and test practices Ability to perform duties independently with general supervision WHY DIGITAL RIVER: Digital River provides numerous benefits to employees.
