    Position Objective: The Distribution Coordinator is responsible for the physical and transactional activities as they relate to the distribution and logistics of material movements.

    Type: Regular full time (hourly) | Non-Exempt

    Reports to: The Logistics Supervisor.

    Salary: Commensurate with experience and MKS pay structure.

    Work Week: Typically, Monday- Friday, Overtime work as required.

    Organizational Mission: Internal and external physical and transactional integrity that services both internal and external customer stocking programs.

    Job Summary:

    The position requires a high level of skilled communication, the ability to work effectively in a team atmosphere with a passion for problem solving. The position requires detailed logistical work, creative program coordination with a focus on efficiencies. This is a key role that involves minimum supervision, independent thinking and creative problem solving.

    Job Complexity: Works on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative. Understands the implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions.

    Experience & Education: Preferred prior experience in shipping, receiving and store’s inventory management.

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Manages activities related to distribution and logistics.

    • Emphasis on cycle count administration/management.

    • Performs material operations surrounding; receiving, cycle counting, work order picking, material stocking.

    • Ability to interact closely with various levels of management, including department personnel, related company staff members, and external business partners.

    • Maintain Inventory integrity control between internal ERP System and Customer/ ERP systems.

    • Attend training sessions as required.

    • Will perform other tasks as assigned.

    • May provide guidance to peer level nonexempt personal.

    PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES FOR THIS POSITION INCLUDE:

    • Robust understanding of the Microsoft office suite / Outlook with emphasis to Excel

    • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.

    • Exceptional organizational skills.

    • Motivated for success and to reach for additional responsibilities.

    • Solid understanding of supply chain systems / demand profiles.

    • Prior experience with Oracle ERP Suite

    • Prior 6S / Lean methodologies training.

    • Completion of an APICS certification, vocational training or 2-3 years of equivalent experience is preferred.
