    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Presenting and implementing sales supporting programs and promotions to assigned customers
    • Meet established sales quotas and revenue goals to ensure region meets assigned sales budgets and expense controls. Research and develop lists of potential customers.
    • Maintain up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments that effect target markets.
    • Make regular sales calls to develop relationships and follow up on leads.
    • Implement distribution strategies to accelerate growth of new and additional products and/or new markets.
    • Maintain an effective communication path with the customer to ensure sales opportunities for products.
    • Develop and maintain long and short range sales and marketing plans.
    • Maintain awareness of strategic plans and procedures to coordinate market plans.

    • Reporting, recapping daily/weekly activities
    • Monitor and communicate sales activity to contribute to product and service planning.
    • Communicates with home office support staff and regional office and on a regular and consistent basis on items such as expense reports, mileage reports, sales call reports, traffic accidents, and worker compensation etc.

    • Territory planning to meet customer expectations
    • Research customer needs and develop application of products and services in an effective manner to determine market strategies and goals for each product and service.
    • Monitor competitive environment to identify opportunities and countermeasures to address competition.

    • Supporting customer activities – i.e.: stock resets, dealer events, surveys, etc.

  • Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

    • College degree preferred but not required, a minimum 2 years automotive aftermarket or sales experience
    • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook preferred

    REQUIRED SKILLS:

    • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Suite and other ERP systems, such as Oracle.
    • Must be self-confident and able to plan, organize, implement, and follow-up, accept and adapt to change while being prompt, professional and responsive to customer needs.
    • Effectively able to manage sales programs for a variety of vendor partners and manage sales planning with multiple customers.
    • Must be able to accurately complete daily, weekly, or monthly expense or other assigned reports on time, including organizing sales prospects, sales planning, or other sales support projects must as assigned.
    • Must be able to work both as an individual as well as in a team environment with peer HCG employees and as part of a System Selling Group supporting the NAPA Distribution Center and stores.
