Expertise & Support (TES) Maintenance Productivity team is looking for a talented Continuous Improvement Engineer (CIE) to support productivity and reliability improvement initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity that can provide significant personal growth and exposure opportunities within the Seadrift Site as well as the Regional Reliability & Maintenance function. The TES CIE will lead efforts to improve overall aspects of maintenance and operations work processes and collect & analyze data that in turn will be used to further optimize our processes. The (CIE) will work closely with the site TES leaders to improve maintenance productivity through data mining/analytics efforts to identify opportunities and monitor performance to improve our overall profitability. Ideal candidate for this role should have Bachelors or Masters degree in Industrial Engineering. The candidate should have good knowledge of industrial engineering concepts, statistics and computer programming languages gained through coursework or projects. Role Responsibilities: * Lead and execute key productivity improvement projects * Performs advanced data mining & analytics on all productivity and reliability data to identify opportunities to further improve waste elimination and improve how work is performed. * Leads or participates in efforts to define additional productivity data needed to identify & eliminate waste and in the subsequent efforts to develop and improve electronic tools and systems for said purpose Establishing and maintaining key metrics focusing on leading indicators to improve reliability * Work with individual zone reliability engineers to execute the improve reliability work process, including maintaining the site reliability metrics (Reliability, Turnaround, Productivity, etc). * Develops processes to utilize other data sources to validate & improve planning standards * Develops management reports on productivity based on advanced data mining & analytics * Support site teams and networks using LEAN fundamentals: Maintenance Group Leaders Team, Planner Networks (Daily & Turnaround), Work Coordinator Network and Scheduler Networks, Reliability * Engineer Network * Explore latest technologies in data mining and modeling, and their applications in context of maintenance and reliability projects * Provide expertise to improve productivity through use of data mining & analytics and improvements to maintenance work processes (planning & scheduling) * Technology exploration to identify latest technologies to improve the maintenance productivity Deliverables * EH&S metrics: Zero OSHA recordables * Monthly reporting on different maintenance metrics * Reporting maintenance productivity via KPI * Resource Optimization best practice * Driving Innovation in Productivity tools & techniques * Improving planning & scheduling through route optimization * Development of productivity Tableau dashboards Key Performance Indicators * Maintenance productivity improvement by: * Reduced maintenance cost to serve * Improved resource utilization measured through wrench time and other metrics * Implementation of key maintenance productivity tracks * Regional Wrench Time Improvements * Maintenance $/lb Required Qualifications: * Bachelors of Science degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering * Operations (Manufacturing, Maintenance, Engineering) experience - >2 years * A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.
