    MISSION / SUMMARY:

    The mission of the Supply Chain MDM Analyst is to maintain material master data quality standards within SAP.  This position must maintain a high level of data and analysis integrity in the areas of material master, MRP settings, purchase info records and source lists, and outline agreements.  The Supply Chain MDM Analyst will assist in SAP implementations including data conversion and data loads.  The position will govern current and future master data standards, document these processes in the form of guidelines, and create training documentation as needed.  Remediation of any data not in compliance with these standards will be a key function of this role as we continue to enhance our SAP system.

    Required Skills

    EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE:

    • Must have Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative/analytical field - IT, engineering, finance, accounting, economics, statistics, supply chain or other technical related field.

    BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:

    • 3-5 years of supply chain experience in a manufacturing organization.
    • 3-5 years of SAP MDM experience specializing in  Material Master.
    • Working knowledge of SAP Materials Management module (Procure to Pay) required.
    • One full-cycle SAP conversion experience preferred.

      

    JOB FUNCTION: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following.

    • Identifies areas for data quality improvements and helps to resolve data quality issues through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement, or process design strategies.
    • Ensures quality of master data in key systems, as well as development and documentation of processes with other functional data owners to support ongoing maintenance and data integrity.
    • Define and implement data strategy, policies, controls, and programs to ensure the enterprise data is accurate, complete, secure, and reliable.
    • Manages and analyzes data management, governance, and data quality of master data requirements to ensure functional master data integrity across the operation of financial systems is consistent and meets stated business rules and requirements.
    • Work closely with the business/IT to ensure alignment of master data rules and the operations of the application meet all requirements.
    • Maintain ongoing material master change management.
    • Assist the transition to centrally manage purchasing master data and maintain this data going forward.
    • Provide assistance with data gathering, conversions, and training end users for ongoing SAP implementations and upgrades.  Provide post go live support as needed.
    • Other supply chain projects as assigned.
