  • Responsibilities

    We have an exciting new opportunity for an Electronics Design Engineer. As an Electronics Design Engineer you will be responsible for Electronics hardware circuit design and development for analog, digital, and mixed signal designs (ADCs/DACs), and power supply design for a new electronic engine control and monitoring system. As a member of the ACaMS Program Team you will focus on the design/development/realization of the next generation Aero Engine Control System, which is designed to deliver world class efficiency, diagnostics, and cyber treat protection via a modern architectural solution. The ACaMS development team will serve a wide range of gas turbine engines/applications and their scope includes a wide variety of components within the control system including the Computing System, Health Monitoring System and the integration of the Hydromechanical and Sensing/Control components.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Create designs for electronic circuits
    • Develop embedded mixed-signal electrical solutions
    • Troubleshooting electronics to find root cause and solutions to problems
    • Conduct circuit simulation & related modelling tools
    • Electronics component level tolerance and stress analysis
    • Compile functional description and design assurance testing results into a report sufficient for certifying authorities
  • Qualifications

    Basic Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related areas with 2+ years of experience in electronics design, OR
    • Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, OR
    • JD/PhD
    • In order to be considered for this role, you must be a US Citizen
  • Desired skills

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Electronics hardware Design Experience
    • Working knowledge of component technology and behavior during normal and abnormal operation, verification vehicles, electrical design, system architecture, development process constraints.
    • Ability to research application issues and products by being able to seek solutions/information from within or without the organization, including suppliers, universities, customers, related industries
    • Liaise with other disciplines to understand functional performance capabilities of components of the system to facilitate effective component design.
    • Analyze and translate high level requirements into a validated design for the electrical component.
