This position will serve as the primary point of contact for Project Managers and Senior Project Managers pertaining to project financial transactions. The responsibilities for this position include actively participating in and coordinating cost control activities and handling complex and varied assignments requiring basic knowledge of cost control as well as interfacing with procurement and document controls disciplines. Individuals should be able to identify complex problems using independent judgment and exhibit the ability to coordinate and assist the implementation of project controls activities. Expectation is ownership and of activities requiring a moderate level of guidance and support from senior personnel. While scheduling activities will be handled by a planner, a basic knowledge of schedule logic is needed for certain aspects of project controls activities. The Project Controls Specialist is a key member of a diverse team of professionals executing integration projects with moderate complexity and risk. Multiple small to moderate sized projects in various types of industries will be assigned. The Project Controls Specialist will also assist the Project Manager in assuring that the execution proficiency adheres to the NA iCenters procedures and processes, including ISO 9000 procedures. Responsibilities As Project Controls Associate, you will be responsible for monitoring, forecasting and execution all financial cost/revenue transactions including booking and invoicing though Oracle. You must be able to: * Solve basic and contribute to solutions to complex problems through the use of standard procedures, modifications of standard procedures, or methods developed in previous assignments * contribute to the review and development of Project Controls processes & procedures * follow sound principles, processes, and procedures to analyze project cost, alert management to risks/opportunities to improve project profitability or productivity on projects of moderate complexity * successfully plan and organize the transactional workflows of team members You will execute project transactions, monitor revenue and costs variances and project margin fluctuations, and support project controls reports for customers and internal team members during the project execution life cycle. You will track, analyze, and report on original project budgeted costs, expenditures, estimated final costs, margins, and current cost/revenue forecasts. You will work closely with a planner and project managers forecasting the impact of scope and schedule variances. You will serve as a primary source of competency on project document control, information management and records management. You administer a centralized project document management system, including maintaining specific document control methodology for use across all projects. You will create inputs to proper progress tracking and change management systems during the project lifecycle, and that change impacts are captured following the NA iCenters change management processes. You will assist the Project Manager in the creation of cost analyses, cash flows, estimates to complete, work in progress, estimates at completion and various other cost related evaluations for project monitoring and controlling. In preparation for customer reporting and periodic project reviews with NA iCenter management, you will evaluate proposed and/or anticipated scope deviations, and report on the status of the project financials. You will be responsible for the data gathering, and arrangement and publishing of KPI and other metrics data published to various levels of management. At times this position will be asked to perform basic administrative duties regarding ensuring smooth operation of essential office functions such as coordinating supply management, organizational scheduling and assistance for proper reporting of expenses. Additional Information This non-exempt position is located in St. Louis. There is no relocation assistance available. Requirements Candidates must possess the following: Associates Degree in a related technical or financial management field and 2-4 years experience. Additional preferred qualifications include: Working knowledge of accounting, cost/revenue forecasting, and industrial practices, a working knowledge of Project Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and cost/schedule integration, procurement, proficiency with Microsoft suite of products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio), especially surrounding graphical forms of communication via charts and power point. Candidates shall have demonstrated ability to work in a diverse team environment exhibiting strong analytical skills and the ability to remain flexible to manage changing project issues that always occur, have strong organizational and analysis skills to review data and come to clear and reasonable conclusions, and possess superior verbal, presentation and written communication skills.
