Weve revolutionized the control industry by extending digital information technologies to the plant floor of process manufacturers, including oil and gas, refining, chemical, life sciences, and alternative energy companies. This position is located in Austin, TX. Responsibilities The intern will work with senior Emerson Plantweb Technology Test team mentors and industry experts to: * Test on areas related to Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) * Evaluate new versions of DeltaV Distributed Control Systems and maintain test systems * Implement DeltaV Control strategies, graphics development and improve system configuration * Develop new tools for software test automation * Enhance, maintain, and/or refactor Austin test lab equipment/systems * Evaluate integration of Emerson products to form easy-to-use systems Additional Information Position will be full-time in the summer with potential for part-time work in the Fall. Requirements * Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university entering either the sophomore or junior year. * Pursing Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering. * Minimum 3.0 GPA. Preferred Qualifications * Can-do attitude, willingness to learn new technology, and an inquisitiveness to finding product limits and behaviors * Previous internship experience a plus. * Courses in automation, testing, embedded systems development, circuit theory, process control optimization.
