    Engineering Co-Operative Program (3 Rotations Required)

    THE PROGRAM:

    The Co-op program is designed to combine your academic studies alongside practical work experience in engineering. Our goal is to offer breadth of exposure to the many facets of our engineering functions and internal networks from customers to management to help you navigate exciting and purposeful career development opportunities.

    On this program, you’ll undertake 3 semester length placements through a broad range of projects within a variety of departments that will provide an introduction to the business portfolio, an exposure to aerospace fundamentals, and a deeper dive exploration of mechanical and aerospace concepts utilizing digital methods.

    To complete the program, Co-op students are required to alternate between school and employment completing three (3) structured rotations (starting Fall 2023) before graduating.

    Rotations would be Fall 2023, Summer 2024, and Spring 2025

    The main program is located in Indianapolis, IN with a potential opportunity to be located at one of our satellite facilities within the U.S.

    WHAT YOU’LL DO:

    As a Co-op, you’ll be assigned a line manager and a career coach, so you’ll be learning directly from a skilled professional. The type of projects will vary based on business need, but all the projects you do will be in support of a real business goal with a direct link to our products and customers. It makes for a fantastic opportunity to share your ideas and really make a difference. Not only will you receive on-the-job training, but you’ll also develop a host of transferable skills. Your day-to-day tasks will differ, and you’ll receive support from different people within the business, all of whom will be committed to helping you to deliver your best.

    Rotations may include assignments in design, analysis, systems, materials, controls, manufacturing, service and/or test functions with an electrical and digital lens. At the end of each session, you will be required to complete an exit presentation detailing work assignment and accomplishments.

    WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

    Candidates will have strong demonstrations of interpersonal skills, curiosity, problem solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.

    Candidates will be able to/have:

    • Ability to take initiative/be self-directed

    • Understanding of emotional intelligence in a team environment

    • Strong verbal and written skills

    • How to identify a problem

    • Understanding of how to scope a task

    • Possess an aptitude for quick learning of concepts

    • Be enrolled full-time pursuing an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university working towards a bachelor’s degree within the STEM field

    • A minimum of a 3.0 GPA

    RELEVANT MAJORS:

    Engineering: Mechanical, Aerospace, Systems, Materials, and Chemical

    STEM: Material Science and Mathematics
