We are currently hiring for a Systems Engineer to support product specifications as a member of our systems engineering team. This role refines product concepts into architectures and specifications then through the systems lifecycle 'V' model. You will also use your technical skills to fully understand the multitude of applicable agency standards, as well as use your organizational skills to ensure validation methods are aligned and documented.     KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Collaborate with product management to clearly define and specify product requirements.
    • Collaborate with architects, safety & compliance specialists, and test engineering to execute the systems 'V' on NPD and sustaining projects.
    • Contribute to innovation ideation for safer, smarter healthy homes
    • Contribute to global technical reviews of specifications, architectures, and product literature
    • Work with lab test team to verify test results are recorded and documented appropriately
    • Review, document, and validate global agency requirements for each product to ensure that they meet all standards

    EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION

    • US Citizen or Permanent Resident
    • COVID-19 vaccines will be required for all newly hired Carrier U.S. Salaried employees
    • Strong technical writing skills. Must have direct coursework or experience developing aptitude for technical writing
    • Four-year engineering degree. Preference for software/firmware, electrical, mechanical, or systems or biomedical engineering
    • Education or experience with DFMEA and risk analysis in safety critical products
    • Proactive and highly self-motivated; demonstrates critical thinking capabilities with strong attention to detail
    • Interpersonal skills to work with multiple cross functions, including product management, engineering, and quality teams

    EDUCATION

    • Bachelor's/Master's degree in an engineering, digital, or STEM-related field (BS/MS Systems Engineering Preferred)
    • Strong academic performance, GPA must be greater than or equal to 3.0 GPA
    • University coursework or direct experience in Systems Engineer

    PAY RANGE:

    $48,000 - $67,000 Annually
