Entegris is seeking a dynamic Project Chemist with exceptional knowledge of analytical chemistry and techniques applied to the characterization of complex mixtures. Based on business needs, the Project Chemist will develop sound and scientific analytical methods which are validated as per our current internal and external customer guideline. The Project Chemist will write technology transfer protocols and if necessary, train chemists in the new analytical method(s). Position will also serve as a contact for internal and external customer inquiries, assist with the site to site correlation and matching. The role is located in our Burnet, TX chemical plant producing ultra pure precursor materials for semiconductor CVD/ALD applications. In this role you will Collaborate with R&D, Operations, and Sales & Marketing teams to ensure that new product test methods meet customers quality, performance, and economic needs; Provide technical support and market applications expertise for specific test methods and products; Interface with internal and external customers and academia in the definition and development of new product testing applications; Help provide justification for the highest valued R&D projects for the group; Research, plan, and execute laboratory, pilot, and commercial scale experiments in the development of new test method technologies; Analyze experimental data and testing methods using statistical techniques; Summarize results in technical reports and present findings to technical colleagues and management. Traits we believe make a strong candidate B.S. or higher in Chemistry, Physics or Chemical Engineering, M.S. or PhD preferred; 1- 2 years in a chemical product testing development, testing applications, or R&D analytical setting within the Semiconductor or Specialty Chemical industries; Lab instrument (ICP-MS, ICP-AES, HPLC, IC, GC) operations and maintenance experience; Strong knowledge of specialty chemical manufacturing and testing methods; Skilled in producing charts, graphs, and technical reports for executive management; Ability to work and communicate effectively with all members of working groups, skill levels, and expertise in a global environment; Mandarin or Korean is a plus; Ability to travel 10%, some international. Your success will be measured by Finishes assigned tasks/project on time and on budget; Applies skills to develop a series of more complex procedures or experiments or performs technical tasks requiring a significant degree of competence, knowledge, skill and training; Utilizes knowledge of a wide variety of analytical chemistry techniques, analyses or experimental techniques using standard lab equipment; Creates, coordinates, and maintains work schedules, projects, instruments, facilities and documentation while exercising independent judgment; Ability to work and communicate effectively with all members of working groups, skill levels, and expertise in a global environment; Complete lab work safely and follow company safety policies; Proven ability to work in a cross-cultural and cross-language team environment.
