Job Description

BROAD DESCRIPTION OF POSITION The Associate Help Desk and Network Support role provides support to end users for computer hardware and desktop application issues. Identifies, researches and resolves technical problems of moderate complexity. Documents, tracks and monitors the problems using applicable systems and tools. Additionally, may coordinate with other teams or departments to resolve user problems. Provides research and recommendation for desktop hardware and printers. General understanding of network PC configuration and setup. BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Respond to request for technical assistance in person, via phone or email
2. Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues
3. Advise users of appropriate actions
4. Follow up with users to ensure complete resolution of issues
5. Redirect problems to correct resource
6. Stay current with industry trends in hardware and software
7. Configure and deploy new hardware
8. Ability to upgrade hardware and software components
9. Document steps and outline procedures for set up and configuration of hardware
10. Basic wireless configuration and setup of mobile devices

POSITION REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION

• Minimal two year associate degree in Networking, Computer Science or equivalent

EXPERIENCE

• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook.
• Strong knowledge or back ground in PC hardware.
• General understanding of network configuration and setup.
• Understanding Mac hardware and software.
